The artwork I had originally planned kind of fell flat, but at least I got something out of it. In "New Earth" I used a lot of elements that went into the last image I was working on: the star field for example and the first planet--not the moon or "earth"-- orbiting the sun. I am also learning a ton about textures and brushing, which is going to help me a lot with my photomanips when I eventually do another. What I can't seem to get is the level of detail on planets  some of the other artists do. Oh, I think I have improved...but not to the level I would like. Maybe with time. Who knows? Plan Gone Awry

It sucks something bad when a job interview goes well and they still choose someone else. I really thought I had it. Oh well... I plonked myself in front of my PC on--when was it?--Monday, I think it was, and decided to build up some resources: A planet and a starfield the size of which the web has never seen. Hard labor turned into fun, and soon both were to be combined in my next grand piece--prophesied planning time gone out the proverbial window. Unfortunately, I was unaware that my machine (at 512MB RAM) insn't quite capable of handling it. Not to mention  my difficulty in seeing it properly. Zooming out doesn't cut it when the image is

Seems you have the same experience as me - i came to the site 'again' 18th march last year, only to find i had an account registered since 20th march 2003! What a coincicence :) Well, it came in handy eh. ;)
